Could I please ask NDIS panel to also consider at some sort of guidelines when it comes to the healthy diets availability to the people living in group homes.
Currently whoever staff is on the shift does the cooking. There are many such support workers have no idea about cooking let alone healthy cooking.
Then support workers are keen to cook dishes they prefer and the residents are either obese with unhealthy eating (among other reasons) or they are not eating enough.
My suggestion would be to have allocated a permanent good staff just to handle the kitchen who have to follow the guideline to include dishes that residents prefer and not the staff.
