We need Access for training for volunteers in organisations Like Scouts Australia, Girl Guides, surf life saving to better understand disabilities. to understand all the different types of disability

What is your view on the proposal for the new Strategy to have a stronger emphasis on improving community attitudes across all outcome areas?

Create training for community organisations like Scouts Australia to access for free, maybe have webinars designed for volunteers to build awareness and understanding. showcase where successful inclusion in the community has occurred. Scouts has a lot of disabled youth fully engaged and achieving

How do you think that clearly outlining what each government is responsible for could make it easier for people with disability to access the supports and services they need?

How do you think the Strategy should represent the role that the non-government sector plays in improving outcomes for people with disability?

Community groups play a huge role, often with out support

What kind of information on the Strategy’s progress should governments make available to the public and how often should this information be made available?

Employment data – maybe every 6 months.
Education results data that show ATAR trends of students with disability identified for year 12.
% of awards data showing the number of Australia Day, Australian honours and other awards each year going to people with disability

What do you think of the proposal to have Targeted Action Plans that focus on making improvements in specific areas within a defined period of time (for example within one, two or three years)?

For youth voice, as well as schools and YDAS, you have places like Scouts and Guides with large disability memberships.
