Request for Tender for Disability Gateway Service

On 10 October 2022, The Department of Social Services issued a RFT to engage a Supplier to establish and operate the Disability Gateway Service. Through a range of channels including telephone and social media, the Service will support:
- people with disability, their families and carers to access disability information, services and other types of assistance; and
- Enquiries from parties in the sector who assist people with disability, including but not limited to health professionals, disability service providers and advocates.
In addition, the Service will also support the management of content published on the Australian Government’s Disability Gateway website to ensure it is current and appropriate.
Industry Briefing for this RFT is provided as an accessible video presentation with Auslan and sub-titles to offer prospective Tenderers the opportunity to better understand the request. No additional Industry Briefing is scheduled. To raise questions in response to the briefing, please submit questions to tenderdisabilitygateway@dss.gov.au, to be addressed via Addenda to the RFT and issued on AusTender.

Public Interest Certificate (PIC)
Under section 22 of the Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018, certain types of procurements may be suspended while complaints are being investigated or injunctions are being considered.
Relevant Commonwealth entities, like the Department of Social Services, may issue a Public Interest Certificate (PIC) in circumstances where they consider that it is not in the public interest for a particular procurement process to be suspended.
