Please find attached my written submission which goes directly to my recent experience trying to secure a disability advocate for my son’s appeal against the NDIA at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. It took 6 months of repeated applications for assistance before a provider was able to take on his matter due to overwhelming caseloads. Meanwhile I had to do my best in an unfamiliar and intimidating theatre against a publicly funded private solicitor for the NDIA. This is not reasonable, fair or acceptable.
