National Disability Advocacy Program
This consultation has now closed.
The Department of Social Services is reviewing the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) in consultation with stakeholders.
NDAP provides people with disability with access to effective disability advocacy that promotes, protects and ensures their full and equal enjoyment of all human rights enabling community participation.
This review is part of an on-going, continuous improvement and reform process that will result in a new NDAP delivering the best outcomes for those who need it most.
We wanted to hear from all stakeholders including people with disability, advocacy agencies, disability peaks, human rights organisations and the offices of public advocates and ombudsman, to find out what is and is not working in the program.
The discussion paper outlined the reasons for the review and included questions to use as a guide for developing a response.
