Hello, this all seems very progressive.My concerns as a Carer are always struggling to meet bill payments.Between Mum’s pension & my Carers allowance & payment. There’s still never enough when things go wrong eg: new tyre or gaps in Medical bills.I haven’t been on a holiday since before my Dad died in 2011. I was caring for him at home too. I simply cannot afford it.I start saving & it’s spent within a month on a plumbing issue or similar.
I’d love to see the ability for Carers to be able to earn more money before it affects our payments.If we have the drive, the energy & resources (own transport, good health, monitors for those in our care) why are limited to earn some much earned holiday money? Thank you for reading my thoughts.
