Allow providers to be registered as NDIS Advocates and claim for advocacy delivered on behalf of a participant.
Here in Western Australia there is no available advocacy due to reduced funding allocations creating long wait lists.
By making participant advocacy a billable line item, with strict billing criteria and role descriptions, NDIS REGISTERED providers can then choose to add this to their available services.
To lower the rate of possible exploitation, a base training level and time working within the NDIS, coupled with an exam may be helpful.
