Your experience of the NDIS Supports rules (Support lists)

Section 1: Introduction

This survey is about the NDIS Supports rule (section 10).

These rules make it clear what types of supports and services NDIS participants can spend their funds on.

In October 2024, transitional rules were put in place for the NDIS Supports rule (section 10). More than 7,000 people provided their views on how the NDIS Support lists should work.

These rules now need to be updated.

We want to hear from participants and the disability community. In particular about their experience of the current definitions and list of NDIS supports.

Your feedback will help make decisions about changes to the NDIS Supports rules before updated rules are agreed with state and territory governments.

The information gathered as part of this consultation may be provided to other Commonwealth government agencies or to an independent engagement company to be analysed. Artificial Intelligence (AI) may also be used for analysis purposes.

The information will be collated into a report, which will not contain any identifying information.

Section 3: Awareness and understanding of the NDIS Supports rules

Since October 2024, the NDIS Supports lists have been in place. These lists were created by the transitional NDIS Supports rules (Section 10), under the NDIS Act.

There are 3 types of NDIS Support lists:

• A list for Supports that are NDIS supports
• A list for Supports that are not NDIS supports
• A Replacement supports list.
