Centerlink Mobility Allowance is automatically cancelled when transitioned to NDIS assuming the NDID will cover you for this funding. This is not the case. Centerlink Mobility Allowance is paid for disabled person who cannot use public transport and therefore uses their own car to get to their gainfull employment. I was receiving approx $95 per fortnight for well over 10 years. Then taken away because of NSIS. NDIS state if you have your own car you get no transport funding. One is not replaced by the other. I ask that either Centerlink Mobility Allowance continue even if on NDIS as they do not give any funding or NDIS be updated to match Centerlink policy and pay the funding.
