If NDIS Participants run out of money in one category Participants are unable to move funding around from another category to pay for supports in a category they have ran out of for example if participants run out of money for therapy before their NDIS plan expires participants are unable to move funding from another category to pay for therapy while their NDIS plan is current. Participants have to wait until they have their planning meeting and their new plan is approved before being able to receive therapy supports. If a participant sees a psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist and there is not enough funding for therapy and improved daily living when the participants funding runs out they are unable to continue to see their psychologist, speech therapist and occupational therapist. If participants could move money around from other categories when there is no money left in a category participants would not have to wait until a new plan is developed and approved. While the core supports can be moved around into other categories it would be good to see that being available for other categories instead of participants being advised that they can receive no more therapy with their current plan and will have to wait until a new plan is developed and approved.
