I don’t want to have to make a full submission. I went through the NDIS process with my son who has ASD. It was frustrating that only one parent can have control of the finances as I am separated from my son’s father. I then had to fight to have access to the portal but I cannot organise any services for my own son. His father has organised nothing in over a year after I have made numerous suggestions. I should have access to organise services as well. I was previously a teacher and have a postgraduate Diploma in Science in Disability but I cannot organise and pay for services for my own son.
