What need or issue are you trying to address?
iEnterprise addresses the issue of reluctant micro and small business participation by young welfare clients, and their ability to generate on-going business success. As a work-for-the-dole supervisor I observed that participants were more likely to be accepted into NEIS when they were able to utilise quality time and support to develop their business idea. I also noticed that interacting and networking with fellow participants enhanced their ability to clarify ideas and try more innovative approaches to a business.

What is your idea?
iEnterprise is a service available to those who are eligible to participate in NEIS, currently in NEIS, or have completed their NEIS term. It provides resources and group support to help develop business ideas before applying to NEIS, while also enhancing the possibility of success for those who are already working in NEIS. This service helps to overcome the isolation which some participants can feel when embarking on the self-employment journey.
