Summary:
Our project will work closely with employers and young people to create the conditions for gaining and sustaining employment. Our program will provide tailored consistent,agile and ‘as requird’ support for young people across their personal, social, training and employment needs to achieve a long term outcome and attitudinal change through genuine opportunities for work. It will test the idea that young people from disadvantaged backgrounds need tailored and longer term support to enter the workforce and that it is a co responsibility of employers and community to provide that support. It is based on a Canadian model that has been in operation since 1994 in Vancouver.
