What need or issue are you trying to address?
Through our experience working with young people in Work for the Dole and Transition to Work programs, their ability to successfully develop employability skills directly correlates to the methodology used. We have found using a practical, hands on method such as participants developing a pop up shop business enabled them to gain increased confidence, problem solving and business skills.

What is your idea?
To develop a program that utilizes the virtual reality simulation as a method of delivery. This would engage participants at their level. It is a non-threatening way to engage and develop interaction with others. The program would be developed around various industry sectors where participants would gain interpersonal as well as entry level technical skills. These could include retail, cleaning operations and kitchen operations.
