About the submitter:
Small business owner marine construction & logistics industry in & offshore 17 years south east Queensland

Which priority group of the Try, Test and Learn Fund does your idea support?
Young carers, Young parents, Young students at risk of long-term unemployment

What need or issue are you trying to address?
Our volunteer emergency organisations are manned and run by an aging population we need to bring the younger generations in to some of the roles for the future otherwise we won’t have voluntarily emergency services.
Training while serving the community creating a emergency response ready community.
Bringing the younger generations into volunteer organisations Training in these areas creates future employment options in and across all fields

What is your idea?
My idea is work for dole schemes at our volunteer emergency organisations .This will ensure in the future we have people willing & able to take up ranks as you will notice it is the aging population which are currently running there organisations Training undertaken at these organisations will make all participants employable across such a broad range of occupations The benefits of this are creating an emergency response ready community.
Basically you would be assigned to a volunteer organisation at thiese organisations you will be training in each of there respective areas.duration at each organisation would be approximately 6-8 weeks attending 3-4 days a week
By providing the training at these organisations these organisations get the financial support for providing the service instead of directing it into privately owned companies in turn the money stays in the local community.
The other benefits of this idea is everywhere around Australia in all the small towns the city’s there are at least one volunteer group.
