Consultation on the National Carer Strategy has now closed.

The Minister for Social Services, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, released the National Carer Strategy 2024-2034 (the Strategy) on Tuesday 10 December 2024. The Strategy delivers a national agenda to support Australia’s unpaid carers.

The Strategy was developed in consultation with carers from around the country and the carer support sector. Robust evidence was used to inform the Strategy.
