Welcome to the Pulse Survey for service providers – A new approach to children and family programs

We’re improving support and services for families, children, and young people.

We want your feedback on proposed changes. Feedback is invited from service providers, peak bodies, academics and industry experts.

The proposed reform is outlined in the Discussion Paper. [Link to Discussion paper]

We have heard your feedback on the Families and Children Activity programs

Feedback from providers has shown challenges and opportunities under the current arrangement.

The department has built the proposed reform using this feedback.

The main reform suggested in the Discussion Paper is to create one, new national program to support children and families.

The single national program will replace 5 existing programs:

  • Children and Parenting Support (CaPS)
  • Family Mental Health Supports and Services (FMHSS)
  • Communities for Children – Facilitating Partners (CfC-FP)
  • Family and Relationship Services (FaRS)
  • Specialised Family Violence Services (SFVSS)
