Disability Employment Framework – Round One – Consultation report
The Disability Employment Taskforce consultation process commenced on 25 May 2015 when the Taskforce launched a national round of public forums to inform the development of the new Framework.
The Taskforce conducted a round of consultation forums in all capital cities and a number of regional centres (38 forums across 11 cities, 740 people participated). These fora sought views on the strengths and weaknesses of the current disability employment support system and encouraged input into design of the future system. Stakeholders were asked to provide submissions by 13 July 2015 and 122 submissions were received.
This report provides an overview of key issues voiced at the consultation forums and the feedback provided in the written submissions. The report does not attempt to detail all the feedback received, but rather highlights the main themes.
The Taskforce would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions.
